Recent Development In Soil Improvement

The problem of pavement damage is closely related to the problem of the road foundation layer (base). Much damage observed from the weakening of the strength/bearing capacity of the foundation layer. Its characteristic value degrades the road foundation layer due to contamination of clay material from the subgrade, which causes the increase in the Plasticity Index to far exceed the threshold required in the specifications. The strength/bearing capacity of the foundation layer, which is no longer as needed, is exacerbated by other factors so that the pavement layer is quickly damaged. Overloaded traffic conditions, often inundation due to flooding or sea tides, can accelerate damage to road pavement construction
